Creative Dance Center is a 15 minute car ride (if there is no traffic!) and a 45 minute Metro bus ride from Downtown Seattle.

You can zoom in on the map to find locations near Creative Dance Center which is located at 12577 Densmore Ave. North, Seattle, 98133, in the Haller Lake community of North Seattle. 2016 and 2017 SDIT participants stayed at some AirBnB's close to the studio. Booking EARLY is a good idea!

 

Extended Stay –  This hotel is near CDC but we do not want any SDIT participants staying there. There have been safety concerns as well as poor staff response to issues of concern that have been raised.

Educators Bed and Breakfast – educatorstravel.com

This organization is for educators who would like to travel around the US, Canada and the world and meet nice people and not break the bank. When you sign up ($36 annual membership fee and a $10 one-time registration fee), you get access to people all over who have opened up their homes to other educators. The person making the offer describes the accommodations. For example: king size bed/private bath OR futon in the living room/shared bath, etc. They also provide breakfast, which may be a bowl of cereal or a fancy meal. For two people it costs $40. Sometimes there are even offers to house sit and get an entire house for only $50 a night.

Transportation

Sound Transit Link Light Rail travels to and from SeaTac International Airport with stations/stops in a few different Seattle neighborhoods including downtown Seattle. soundtransit.org/link/link-light-rail-stations

Uber and Lyft both pick up and drop off passengers at SeaTac.
